Constitution of the Astor Mining Company : DS, [1849].

Officially establishes the Astor Mining Company, formed in Nantucket, Mass., for the purpose of embarking on a voyage to Calif. on the ship Henry Astor, and thence to mine for gold in the placers. The document enumerates rules and regulations of the company, and is signed by 50 men.
